Was ist hier wohl mit "convoglio" gemeint? Danke

(e chiedo scusa se intervengo solo ora che la domanda è chiusa, ma l'argomento mi interessa). Secondo me qui "convoglio" ha il significato di "convogliamento", e penso che l'autore si riferisca all'esistenza di sorgenti idrotermali (determinate dalla presenza del vulcano).
