"Ausgesetzt" steht zwar nicht da, aber Felsbänder sind normalerweise ausgesetzt.
Wenn es nicht zu frei ist, dann eventuell auch so: .... wie der .... "Via delle Bocchette", der in großer Höhe über natürliche / ausgesetzte Felsbänder verläuft/ führt/ sich hinzieht.
