Per aumentare questo tempo, in genere si ricorre all'inspirazione retronasale, ovvero inspirazione dalla bocca con conseguente strippaggio delle molecole odorose ed aromatiche, ed espirazione dal naso.

Согласно Hoepli "strippare" - nel gergo dei tossicodipendenti, drogarsi, farsi una dose. Некоторые источники утверждают, что речь не просто о наркотике, а о кокаине, и что происходит этот заимствованный глагол от английского "strip" - дорожка.
Я бы сказала так: "...используется ретроназальная ингаляция, или дыхание через рот, во время которого происходит насыщение молекулами пахучих и ароматических веществ, а затем выдыхание через нос".
