Il processo di stabilizzazione e' totalmente reversibile usando un opportuno antidoto, le pelli cosi' trattate ritornano allo stato di depiclato nel giro di tre ore, sbagnatura compresa. La cosiddetta "destabilizazione" non e' obbligatoria, serve farla solo nel caso in cui si debbano effettuare operazioni di sbianca o concie particolari ove non sia richiesta preconcia.

Si, penso che "remojo" sia lo stesso, qui ho trovato un documento molto interessante, ma si usa di più "remojado" come sostantivo.

"Eliminar manualmente o mecánicamente la sal de los cueros frescos y las pieles antes del ***remojado***...
Los bactericidas se emplean principalmente al principio del proceso de fabricación del cuero, durante las fases de curado y ***remojado***."
