Once all the layers of Shu Urushi have been applied, a cloud of gold dust is 。・blown。ヲ with a bamboo rod through a silk screen to produce a subtle iridescence on the surface. A new layer of lacquer is then applied all over. Once the piece is dried and polished, the gold dust shines through even more intensely.
