サイト comes from the English 'sight' as in 目安 (goal, target).
In terms of receivables this would be an estimated / desired collection period. If on a communication to a client, this would simply be 'payment period'.

本来は手形用語だと思いますが、accounts receivableについて使われているとすると、以下のページで説明されているような意味かと思います。

「支払サイト」ではなく「受取サイト」といっているのは、供給先に対する「支払サイト」と比較することにより、資金繰りや金利負担について検討する意味合いがあるように思われます。
そうだとすると、請求日から実際に現金を手にするまでの取引先に対する実質的な猶予期間という意味で、Jonlldさんが紹介されたスレッドである方が提示されたgrace periodがよいように思います。単にpayment term/period等とすると、手形払いが認められている場合、支払いのために手形が振り出されるまでの日数という意味にもとれるように思われるからです。
