Japanese to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Business/Commerce (general)
Japanese term or phrase:現行他社
Ok, any help I can get with this tangled phrase would be appreciated. Also from documentation about a manufacturer's supplier development.
Casey could be right for the "Engineering, Procurement and Construction," but I just took it as a code just like "X" but I could be wrong. It depends on the industry but David wrote "manufacturer" so whatever.
I guess 現行他社 is the current supplier, or competitor, and EPC is company name. The pricing currently being offered by EPC is affordable enough to compete.

My guess is that X is the target company. Currently EPC is providing X with something at NN円.
I would guess that EPC stands for "Engineering, Procurement and Construction," but I don't know what 現行他社 (normally "competitor") should be here. I do gather that they are saying they are going to have a tough time when it comes to price.
I'm guessing the context- I assumed EPC refers to a Kenyan trade group, and came up with this. Hope it helps
ベースとなる現行他社EPCのX社での価格はNN円であり、価格面で苦戦が予想される
(Using) the price (of it/the product) at company X as a base, another company currently operating in EPC, is NN¥, on face value a drawn-out (price)war is predicted.

I could be wrong but, isn't "EPC" a type of product rather than the name of a company? If so, my suggestion would be for 現行他社(EPC). It's closer to 同業他社、or even 競合他社
but if the Asker's question is for 現行他社 in specific then it would be,
