Japanese term or phrase: バーっ
取り急ぎ、バーっと埋めました。何か、変更や訂正があったらまた連絡します。

Katakana is driving me crazy. Thanks in advance for any help you can give with the first sentence. Without knowing what バーっ refers to I'm a little lost.

quickly, in a rush
Explanation:
This meaning is made strongly by 取り急ぎ "hasten".
It depends upon the context for the meaning of 埋める. I can be "cover" "buried" "fill" or "make up (money/deficiet)".

hurriedly

Explanation:
Sound describing an action.

I say medium only because I'm sure there are others, and it also depends on the context. However, I'm quite certain "hurriedly" is at least one possible (close) translation.

on the fly (in a jiffy)

Explanation:
おそらく謙遜して、「バーっ」ととか、ザーッやりましたというようなニュアンスなので、細部に注意を払っていないという意味で、on the flyがいいと思うのですが、コンテキストによっては in a jiffy とも言えると思います。

agree  humbird: I think they are talking about a form. So this person filled out the form in a rush (バーっ indicates done so without much attention to details).
