All I know is that something may "go through them". Anyone have any ideas?

Explanation:
シレット is also the name of Sylhet (Bangladesh) in Japanese, I do not know if that is the one you are referring to or not, but that is one meaning of it. Although I don't how that would be connected to business or "going through them" except as people do travel through places.... Well good luck

日本語の「しれっと」ではないでしょうか。
「うそがばれてもしれっとしている」などの用法があり、何事もなかったように落ち着きはらっているさまを表します。

コンテクストが不明なので確かではありませんが、go through とニュアンスが近い気がします。
他の訳としてはcalmly, quietly が考えられます。
