Japanese term or phrase: はね
This is in some marketing material about products for くせ毛 (curly or unruly hair). It appears frequently with うねり. I'm guessing it's when hair sticks out/stands up or won't lie down, but I can't confirm it or find the right English. Help!

It finally struck me that "hane" is also "wings," which ties in with "flyaway." I guess either expression works. Thank you!
