Just to check my understanding: this refers to 3rd year direct entry students? (ie. students who have eg. transferred credit from another university and gone directly into the 3rd year?) Many thanks.

Thanks - I left it as direct entry student as it is not limited to students who have transferred in in the context. I couldn't find the terms in the link supplied?

third year admittance system student

Explanation:
It is apparently the system that allows students to enter directly in third year of a specialized curriculum when they can be considered having the credits, especially from a general curriculum. not 100% sure though.
