Just posting more references, definitely not 100% confident.

From the explanations I've found, OEM is the closest I can think of as far as translation. One says "kanmuri" kigyou > kogaisha, as in parent company>subsidiary.

The second one, which I think is leaning towards more correct is defining OEM > supplier companies.

Other searches support this, but what throws me off is that the Japanese almost always just say "OEM".
