Japanese to English translations [PRO] Law/Patents - Electronics / Elect Eng / semiconductor device
Japanese term or phrase:示装置
(in full) 半導体示装置
This term appears at the very beginning of a patent, under name of invention...
But nowhere else in the text is it mentioned again. The term used in the subsequent text became the very general and prosaic 半導体装置
Thank you both again, akoba111-san (with special thanks for the insight), and Rie-san (also with special thanks for the generous inputs). I decided to alert my client and keep that part labelled red as a problem spot. Cheers
Hello Rie-san, not at all, it seems... it's just a long description of how some "MOS semiconductor" (complementary metal oxide semiconductor in general) is prepared. The Japanese patent was over 20 years old. So, it's got nothing to do with display, e.g. LCD (as I had been misled to interpret as such). Thank you again.
