"系" generally means system(神経系), style(アキバ系), corollary('系' alone) or origin(アジア系). In this context, 'system' seems to be appropriate.
But "development system" equals "way of developing", or "development" itself. You should choose the most concise phrase. Similarly, "(情報)表出系" = "(infomation) presentation system" = "presentation (of information)".
