Japanese term or phrase: 沈殿 (燃料押出試験)
From a description of a test done on fuel-related rubber materials used for sealing (automotive industry):
燃料押出試験
ガソリン、50度CX120時間、沈殿発生量、0.05ml以下。
besides gasoline, the test was also done with alcohol and gasohol, and the same word 沈殿 appears in both of those.

I see various words in ALC for 沈殿, but I am not sure exactly what this is talking about, and what word would be appropriate to use when talking about fuel.

Thanks in advance.

沈殿 (燃料押出試験)
Precipitation

Explanation:
I had to hunt for a source, but the attached PDF makes reference to precipitation in a gasoline test. Precipitation occurs when a solution contains insoluble compounds.
