guarantee
Explanation:
A guarantee is one to whom a guaranty is made.

It appears the context possibly reads there are three parties to the case: a franchisor, franchisee, and guarantor. And a retailer or someone, the guarantor, gives a guaranty for franchisee's loan payment. As you are stating in your question, we use "guarantee" in this kind of setting.

agree  Benshin: I think "the person who receives the guarantee" is legally called "被保証人," in English "warrantee."

Asker: Thank you. In this case, (I think) a retailer is guaranteeing the loan of a franchisee. There's not much detail in the text, so this is a bit of a guess.

Asker: Thank you very much.

Asker: The reference on franchise arrangements was exactly right for the project. I also found the term "guaranteed party" used in the context of franchise stores. Thanks again.
