Japanese to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Finance (general) / Clinical research related
Japanese term or phrase: 受託事業
"contract business"というのはなんか物足りない気がします。

臨床関係だと特別な言い方がありそう...

i.e. "受託事業として大きく成長しました"

any assistance is appreciated.

English translation:fiduciary/contracted/commissioned business
Explanation:
I would translate it "fiduciary/contracted/commissioned business". For example, 臨床試験受託事業協会 is translated as Japan Association of Contract Institutes for Clinical Pharmacology.

agree  Shawn Wallace: Note that 受託 is the opposite of 委託, so where as 委託 is the contractor/consignor, 受託 is from the other party's perspective, as the contractee/consignee. This term is used a lot in accounting when talking about consignment sales.

Explanation:
Other poster's suggestions might also work, depending on the context, but in some cases this could be an options too. More context would help.
