Japanese term or phrase:単独みずすまし事業
This is the name of a project in Shiga. Does anybody have an idea for a good translation? I'm assuming it does not actually involve beetles.
Explanation: How about leaving in Romaji? It looks like みずすまし事業 means projects conducted under the Mizusumashi Initiative. If it doesn't refer to a specific project like water purification, etc, in the context you're working on, "a Mizusumashi project" might work.
As much as I prefer not to use romaji for translations (it means nothing to English speakers), it appears that "Mizusumashi Plan" is already being used as the title of Shiga's initiative.
