Japanese term or phrase: 中途退職金
Hi all.

In sentence: 退職年金は、定年退職年金と中途退職年金とする。

I was thinking of "pension paid after early retirement," but it seems more akin to the pension paid to people who have resigned, as opposed to retiring at the mandatory retirement age. This 中途退職年金 is paid to the employee once they reach 60 years of age, and can be paid in a lump sum at that time.

As reference, it also says: 「勤続20年以上の社員が50歳未満で退職したときは中途退職年金を支給する。」

Thanks!

Partial pension

Explanation:
"Pension paid after early retirement" actually sounds pretty good, but it kind of depends on what level of fidelity you need. I think the important information is that the amount paid is less than a full pension, so that's why "partial" seems approriate.

Early reduced pension

Explanation:
The phrase 'early reduced pension' would cover both the fact that it's early retirement as opposed to mandatory, plus shows the payment is less.
