I see this one around a lot in insurance documents - as in
自動車・火災・新種保険 or
火災新種損害
I understand that it refers to the "non-traditional" types of insurance in Japan, such as liability insurance and injury insurance, but does anyone know of a generally accepted translation?
I know in Australia we have Fire & General departments - perhaps this would be an appropriate description? I have also seen "Fire & Casualty" used for some companies.
I'd appreciate your input.
