Japanese term or phrase: Pursuant to the provisions of Article 1
Hi All,

I was wondering if "Pursuant to Article 1" has exactly the same meaning as "Pursuant to the provisions of Article 1" in a financial contract. If it means the same, I would prefer to use the shorter version, and lave out the "the provisions of".

The Japanese is
"第1条に基づき"

Many thanks

English translation:Pursuant to Article 1.
Explanation:
If provisions are mentioned in the preamble (e.g. before article or if there are a numner of sections under article 1 etc. Then it is better to use "... provisions of article 1" for completenesse.g. leaving nothing to misinterrrupt when reading the document. Provisions of = all provisions of article 1.
