Japanese term or phrase: イロハニヘト& チ

Hi,

I came across this Japanese numbering style and got its order confused. Generally, イ=a, ロ= b, ハ= c, ニ= d, ヘ= e, ト=f. But what about チ? Can anybody explain to me the order of this numbering style? Thank you very much.

This is the older syllabic order before the a,i,u,e,o order of today.
The complete order is:
いろはにほへとちりぬるをわかよたれそつねならむうゐのおくやまけふこえてあさきゆめみしゑひもせす
