Japanese term or phrase: 現在進行形の人
『現在進行形の人もいる。まだ見つからない人もいる。』

The context is copy about finding a marriage partner. From the above text, it looks like 現在進行形の人 means people one already knows, or people currently on the radar... Is that right?

Thanks for your help!

Explanation:
I think it means that some people are already progressing (e.g. they might have already selected/met one or several potential partners), while others haven't found anyone yet.

agree  Mika Jarmusz: What it is that is progressing should be found in the source context to be properly reflected into the output, but I agree with your interpretation.

agree  David Lettieri: I like Mika's point. Judging by the following sentence, I would guess that it means someone who's already making progress doing what they want to do.

Explanation:

The phrase above just renders the sense and deliberately uses the present progressive.

現在進行形の人 is a trendy Japanese coinage for a person
that you are dating or a potential mate
that you are getting along well with.

It comes from 現在進行形, the grammar term for progressive tenses.
Because the progressive tends to suggest temporariness --
I am living with my in-laws until ...
I was having a bath when ...
-- you may want to retain that sense in the English copy.
Which verb? What gender? (none because m and f use the agency)

There may be someone you are [considering]. But isn't there someone you still have to meet?

If you abandon the progressive:
There's someone you already know.
There are others you have yet to meet.
