Japanese to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) / defects
Japanese term or phrase: 倒れ傷
This is a type of defect in a plastic syringe manufactured by injection molding. Others in the list include flash, voids, sink marks, silver streaks, etc.

I've a feeling this might be 'jetting' or something along those lines.

Explanation:
Hi:) I was thinking about this and the only thing that dawned on me was the assumption that as far as it is a question of defected syringes then "倒れ傷" might be "scratch caused by falling/dropping (on the ground)" or something like this. Or can you leave it just "scratch"?

Here are two examples I found (both refers to desciptions of motorcycles intended for sale):
---右に倒れ傷が少しあります。傷の箇所はペイントで処理しているため近くで見ない限り解らない程度です。
---後はフレームに小さな傷(倒れ傷)が数箇所あります。

(擦れ傷) drag marks / scratch / gall

Explanation:
Is there a possibility that this may be "擦れ傷(こすれきず/すれきず)", not 倒れ傷?
If so, I'd suggest "gall", "scratch", etc.

"17.型傷,すり傷
射出成形において型傷,すり傷は成形品の表面にいろいろな原因によって傷が現れる現象である。型傷は,金型表面の傷がそのまま成形品に反映されるものである。
すり傷は,離型動作や突き出しのときに金型に擦れてできるもので,両者の違いは,成形品を観察すれば容易に判断が可能である。"
