Japanese term or phrase: what is being added, divided and multiplied here ?

I am having a hard time figuring out how to render this sentence properly in English despite know the vocabulary. I need some help constructing a logical sentence in English to match the Japanese. Any help would be appreciated.
年間日数は、当該年間日数に年間総有効測定日数を年間総日数で除して得た数値を乗じて補正した日数とすること。

年間日数(new) = 当該年間日数(old) x (年間総有効測定日数 / 年間総日数)

Explanation:
I'm just helping out with the logic. You can substitute the Japanese with the proper English vocabulary.

I'm assuming the complete sentence is the following.
年間を通じて毎日連続して測定が行なわれなかつた場合（年間の総有効測定日数が二百五十日以上である場合に限る。）における令第六条第一項第一号に規定する年間日数は、当該年間日数に年間総有効測定日数を年間総日数で除して得た数値を乗じて補正した日数とすること。

The number of days/year (当該年間日数-old） defined in 令第六条第一項第一号 needs to be adjusted if measurement wasn't done daily. In which case we multiply this with the number of total valid measurement days (年間総有効測定日数） and divide that with total number of day (年間総日数 365days??）. 　Does this make any sense?
