Japanese to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Instruments
Japanese term or phrase: ブワブワ
Description of a problem with a gastrostomy tube.

チューブ型胃瘻のチューブが、作ってからわずか1ケ月程度ですっかり茶色に変色し形体も「ブワブワ」になってしまった。

Daijirin defines ブワブワ as ゆるく波をうったようにふくれているさま. Still I can't quite visualize it on a tube or find a suitable translation.

English translation:unevenly swollen, undulatory-shaped
Explanation:
Other than the above, I came up with words like flabby, bumpy, lumpy.. but I'm not sure there is one word to match the description.

To stir up your imagination... did you read "Little Prince"? Earlier in the book, a child shows a drawing of a boa constrictor that has swallowed an elephant. Let's scale down the elephant to a much smaller size.

This resembles the shape of "ぶわぶわ" but it is generated as a result of surface stretching. ぶわぶわ shape is as a result of swelling.

Another example - peper that becomes puffy and textured when wet.
