Japanese term or phrase:危険率
有意差の判定は危険率OO％以下の場合を有意差あり、００％以下の場合を有意差の傾向ありとした。
I just wanted a second opinion on possible layouts of the sentence.

The ratio of the risk of disease among those exposed to a risk factor to the risk among those not exposed

(This is how I interpret it):
--- In judging significant differences, a significant difference occurred when the risk ratio was less than 5%, and when the risk ratio was less than 10%, there was a tendency towards a significant difference occurring.
---- The character 有 has the following definitions in my trusty Nelson’s Japanese Character Dictionary pertaining to a(ru)….(It has many other definitions such as for yu(suru). a(ramashi), etc.)
They are:
there is, have, exist; occur; be located, be contained in; (it) measures; happen; be found; be held; consist of.
I think the definitions “occur”, “(it) measures”, “be found” can probably fit nicely in your sentence for the verbs in the sentence “ある” and “ありとした.”

I just revisited to re-read both interpretations (yours and mine). Essentially, they're both saying the same thing....There's just a little difference in the approach.
So far I have: "Differences were judged significant when the risk-ratio was less than 5%, and a risk-ratio of less than 10% was deemed to display a trend towards a significant difference."
