Following on from the response to my suggested answer, some thoughts which you will probably already have had yourself, but just in case...
Do any of the other examples of 折り目 in the text make sense if translated as "fold" or "crease", or do they all make better sense if you assume they should all be 織り目?
If they all seem to make more sense as 織り目, then perhaps they are just all wrong. In that case I'd be tempted to translate assuming 織り目 and provide a note of explanation to the client.
If all other examples of 折り目 make sense as they are, then it could just be that this one example should actually be different, but was typed incorrectly out of habit or through overly trusting the kanji input routine. Again, in the absence of any information indicating that 折り目 is correct, I would probably go with 織り目 and include a note.
On the other hand, there could be a perfectly reasonable explanation for why 折り目 is correct here. |
