Japanese to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical (general) | | Japanese term or phrase: 支払側委員 | This is in connection with the MHLW's (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) raising of medical fee compensation in 2010. If anyone knows how to say 「診療側委員」, that would be very welcome as well!

「一定の条件で通常の自己負担とは別の料金を徴収
できるようにする措置に対し、患者など支払い側委員は削除や慎重な検討を求めた。一方、
医師ら診療側委員は、薬だけをもらいにくるケースなどで現場が疲弊していると理解を求

The Ministry of Health and Welfare sets the fee schedule. Its Central Social Medical Care Council has 20 members who represent a cross section of health care interests: eight providers (five physicians, two dentists, and one pharmacist), eight payers (four insurers, including government representatives, two employers and two labor representatives), and four public interest representatives (three economists and one lawyer).

| Grading comment Thanks for the translation. I was getting thrown off by the "委員" part of it, but in English it really does appear to be just "payer".
