the exact pronounciation is gurai it is used with the the word like with "jinko" jinko wa ikura gurai desu ka. it is also used with the rank and position of the soldiers.in the compition it is also used with the players rank.
another kurai means "dark",gloomy,dim,used with the room,tatoeba-heya wa kuraku narimasu ne.
