逃げるように次の間にさがると、襖際(ふすまぎわ)に突き指で、きまり台詞(せりふ)か、すらすらと、「お昼寝なさいますンでしたら、お床をおのべして参りますが......」
「いいえ。よござんすの」
と、言い切ってから、少しく意味ありげな笑顔(えがお)を男の方ヘ向けて、
「それとも、どうなさる? もしなんなら......」
「いや、よろしい」
