Japanese to English translations [Non-PRO]
Art/Literary - Poetry & Literature / horror manga
Japanese term or phrase: とり
in the sentences: 呪い殺してやる。化けて出てやる。とり殺してやる。
I'm translating a horror manga by Junji Itou entitled "The Will"
The sentences is found in suicide letter from an adopted daughter who fled from home.
I don't understand what the phrase above mean. What I got from the previous translation help is that:
the 1st sentence means "I will cast a death spell to you" (answered by movingpix)
the 2nd sentence means "I will haunt you" (gotten from google translation)
the 3rd sentence: I don't understand whom being killed now, for in the manga it's written in hiragana instead of kanji.
Could you help me understanding the phrase?
thanks a lot for the help

English translation:to possess
Explanation:
新和英大辞典第5版 says "とりころす【取り殺す】" means to "possess sb and cause that person's death".

One example translation from 新和英中辞典:

悪霊に取り殺される be possessed and killed by an evil spirit.

I hope this helps.

Kill

Explanation:
とりころす is used for when a person is killed by a ghost or spirit so I think translating it as "kill" or "murder" would be fine.
