Japanese term or phrase: 球をいかに手元まで呼び込むか

This is talking about golf. I've never had an interest in golf, so I don't know what you're supposed to do when you swing the club. How would you bring the ball closer to you? Is this referring to how you hold your arms during the swing or something?
