absolute address (i.e. beginning with http://) Explanation: Shouldn't that be パース = path and not バス?If so then I go for absolute address meaning starting with http:// and not just the end part of a URL. Reference: http://www.mii.kurume-u.ac.jp/~leuers/informal-homepage.htm |

absolute pathname Explanation: Sorry, that should be パス not パースand "absolute pathname" (which has the same meaning as what I just said) would be better. See the reference below which explains things perfectly. Reference: http://www.alternetwebdesign.com/htmltutorial/lesson5.htm#Re... |

absolute path Explanation: パスis correct, not パース It refers to any absolute path, as opposed to relative path. It does not necessarily refer to http - it can also be something like C:¥parent_directory¥child_directory¥file1 |

absolute path Explanation: An absolute path has nothing to do with the http:// prefix. It is a non-relative one. In Unix, on which HTML is based, an absolute file path on a local machine starts with a forward slash (e.g., /home/gifs....). MS-DOS adds a drive letter and uses backword slashes (e.g. c:¥windows¥temp). Examples of relative HTML paths include HREF="gif/hotbabe.jpg" and HREF="../../pix/gif/button.gif". BTW, in Japanese, "path" is パス, the same as "pass", not パース. |
