\"***Semper Fidelis, Latin for, \"Always Faithful\"***, was adopted by the Marine Corps as our motto around 1883.  A more modern, definition is , \"Honor, Courage, and Commitment\", the Core Values of the Marine Corps.  These Core Values is a new terminology for long standing Marine Corps ethics, that have recently begun to sprout up in other branches of the Armed  Services.  It has become politically correct to speak about these concepts.  I often hear Marines saying Semper Fi; however, they are not doing as they are preaching.  In order to be a good  Marine and a good leader, I feel that we must live each and every day faithfully, with Honor, Courage, and Commitment to \"OUR CORPS.\" ...\"
