Answer to Yasutomo´s question. 17:28 Dec 18, 2009
If the scientific name is the same, undoubtedly they are two common names for the same plant. This species seems to be rare (I haven´t found a common name in a dictionary of weeds, so I assume that it is a rare one), and sometimes specialists use a common name selected according different criteria. So, it is not strange to find two or more names for same plant. This is asides some very common plants which can have tens of different names in a language. This is my opinion. |
