Art/Literary - Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs / Law degree | | Latin term or phrase: candidatam ornatissimam examine sollemni in iure absoluto impetrandos admittit | Hi, can anyone help me with the following phrase (from a Dutch law degree):
Facultas Iuridica candidatam ornatissimam ... examine sollemni in iure Neerlandico absoluto ad summos honores impetrandos admittit.
this is how far i got:
The faculty of law [admittit??] the distinguished candidate (accusative phrase)... by/ for the purpose of achieving the highest honors (ablative phrase) by means of the completed [absoluto?] ceremonial exam in Dutch Law (ablative phrase)
I'm stuck.. Any ideas on how to translate admittit? I thought about 'to grant' but what is exactly granted and to whom (in the accusative?) ? And what about the two ablatives?
I hope someone can help me out..
