Latin term or phrase: rixam committere
Hi,

My dictionary says it’s in Livy somewhere but doesn't say where.

My question: would rixam committere mean “to start a brawl” or just to join in one already started?

All the best, and many thanks,

Simon

neutral  Clifford Marcus: "rixam committere" does not seem to occur in Livy, or in the whole Corpus of Latin literature. Rixam occurs once in Livy, book 10, chapter 1, section 93 line 3
