Latin term or phrase: Lytae
Как это может звучать по-русски? И как это перевести? Речь идет об ордене Lytae. На конце не 2 гласные, а одна.

Russian translation:Литай / Литэ
Explanation:
"Литэ" - это традиционный вариант чтения. В эпоху Цезаря и Цицерона дифтонг "ae" произносился примерно как "ай". То есть "Цезаря" (Caesar) правильнее - с точки зрения фонетической реконструкции - было бы называть "Кайсаром".

Explanation:
A ligature is a fusion of two or more ordinary letters into a new glyph or character. Examples are ash, Æ/æ (from AE), Œ/œ (from OE), the abbreviation & (from Latin et "and"), and the German Eszett, ß (from ſz, the archaic medial form of s, followed by a z).

or
Æ (minuscule: æ) is a grapheme formed from the letters a and e. Originally a ligature representing a Latin diphthong, it has been promoted to the full status of a letter in the alphabets of many languages. As a letter of the Old English alphabet, it was called æsc ‘ash tree' after the Anglo-Saxon futhorc rune ᚫ which it transliterated; its traditional name in English is still ash (IPA: /æʃ/).

я б не называл это орденом; это, как я уже писал, почетное свидетельство (документ) - знак отличия ; можете применить кальку
