Yes, "house wine", for sure, but not "house biscuits". There are no hits for "house biscuits" on Google and in my half century of residence, study, work and daily life as an adult in English-speaking countries I have never heard the expression "house biscuits". I cannot think of any other expressions on the model of "house wine". I think that's because "house wine" is an imitation of the French "vin maison" or "vin de la maison" which you still sometimes see on the menus of restaurants that aspire to elegance and a European atmosphere. (I'm talking here about my experience not just in Australia, but also USA, Canada and UK.) |
