Explanation:
Illites are particularly diagnostic in alteration suites as they show a crystallinity change with temperature and the shift in their 2.2µm absorption feature can be related to the aluminum content of the octahedral layers.
Spectrum D, Figure 1, shows a higher temperature sericite from hypogene alteration, while Spectrum C is an illite from a lower temperature disseminated gold deposit.

disagree  Milena Čkripeska: I am sorry, but your spelling is German, not English.

  -> if you look at my first link, the English spelling is also without an "e " in the end. the same also applied to Illit(e). In the numerous references I came across the spelling often differed. and, as Sashenka observes, seven the first letter is not always
