I personally like malodorous or maybe just "unpleasant odor", because "hanyir" connotes an unpleasant smell, mostly fishy but also applies to sweaty humans or eggs or meat that hasn't gone bad, but smells unpleasant. Rancid to me is more suited to "basi", or food gone bad/decomposing. |
