Nigerian term or phrase: aikin amadu kano
We have been told this phrase but have been unable to find out what it means. It is possibly nigerian but we are not sure. Any help with clarification would be very much appreceated as it would help us greatly with the opus.

Reference information:
I have a small tin, it has KANO etched on the bottom, the A doesn’t have a horizontal bar, the O has a small line on the top left and is slightly square shaped. I understand that makes the word KANO more like KUNO, or KURNO. I have looked to find out more about it, I have found work that matches it by a so said Nigerian artist, with the name Aikin Amadu Kano etched onto it. The tin I have has a pin prick in the centre on the lid, where there is a cross. If you would like photos of this please ask.
