Norwegian term or phrase: avdragsnota
Clause in a construction contract. "Brudd på denne kontrakt vil medføre tilbakeholdelse av beløp på avdragsnotaer."
From what I can see, this system is particular to the construction industry and refers to a system of invoicing the main contractor for monthly (fixed?) instalments of the total contractual amount.

"instalment invoice"?

instalment notices
Explanation:
Maybe it's not a de facto invoice, since it doesn't necessarily include a list of the goods delivered. I would consider "instalment notices", which gives 7000 Google hits in singular+plural.

For me, "instalment notice" is more associated with tax payments, or leases. I distinctly recall my dad, who was himself a building contractor, using the term "sub-invoice". My conclusion is that it depends on the context. Hence, I've added the other alternatives for future reference. Thanks, Bjørnar.
