Yes, I was surprised (and frustrated) when this happened to me a year ago - I thought everything was covered when I made a payment online... and it wasn't. I wouldn't be surprised if your end-client writes your translation in small text :)

thank you Robert. I did think along those lines as well, but I assumed that all fees; postage, packaging, customs would have to be covered by the client at purchase, so that when the item arrives their bill is settled.

There are still companies who send out packages in the mail, that the buyer needs to collect at the post office and pay for at the desk. There may also be an extra fee payable, for example for tolls (if the package was sent from abroad).

for confirming this, much appreciated. I am still perplexed however, as this seems to be an outdated payment method, and I think I will need to go back to the client and confirm this is the case (I mean, who pays COD in this day and age??). From the text, does it imply that the postage and COD are fees added onto the initial NOK price?
