Norwegian to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Architecture / nuns' work | | Norwegian term or phrase: hvilende (in this context) | This is actually a document about natural stones used in construction, but here with specific reference to a convent, where:
..har nonnene bygget sitt kolster i glass, tre og Ottaskifer som hvilende elementer i sitt daglige virke.
Is this referring to activity that would be termed as a 'rest' from their usual convent-related work, or does it mean something else?
Advice appreciated. |

Explanation: This is also an alternative, but I must say Michele's is my favourite!
Example sentence(s):- The static elements within both types of spaces were the built-in bookshelves, desks, dining tables, occasional tables, and banquette sofas.
- Daylight systems range from simple static elements (such as louvers or fixed overhangs) to adaptable dynamic elements (such as blinds or movable lamellae), and/or combinations of these.
