Norwegian to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Construction / Civil Engineering / blasting work and construction
Norwegian term or phrase:endetipp
Really not sure how to express this in English (saw a brief Norwegian explanation).
Example: Der ikke annet er angitt i den spesielle beskrivelse, kan massene utlegges fra endetipp.
I apologise for any confusion: the term is 'endetipp' - I simply referred to the above site because the term looked similar. My document doesn't contain 'endetips' at all - I was forgetting that I was looking at my translation, where somehow a global search seemed to have changed tipp to tips.
It's described as a 'sted hvor afgravet jord aflaeses for enden af en daemning.
The document I'm translating, part of an invitation to tender, concerns construction, and it does concern roads as well as buildings.

Explanation: End tipper = a truck which discharges straight back (at the end). As opposed to a side tipper which can discharge to either side.
"Where nothing else is noted in the specific description, the masses can be discharged by end tipper".

Many thanks - confirmation through my client as well. Sorry for the confusion with my notes!
