In American legal practice, this would concern the production of evidence in pre-trial discovery. The first request would be styled formally as a "Request for Production". But the context here is a follow-up demand. Would you use "request", "demand" or something else, and why? "Provoke" just won't cut it in English here. :-) |

I recently had this exact phrase to translate.It was obvious from the context that they were requesting the documentation.
I suspect that in your document, the defendants are requesting full copies of the correspondence that the investors had with their financial advisers or the administrators of their funds? |
