inflammation of nervous and medullary substance; myelitis attended with neuritis.

Notes to answerer

Asker: Diarmuid, your shot in the dark is on target. I had thought of this possibility as well, but there wasn't enough context to be certain. However, later in the responses this appears: "Usikker effekt, men effekt sannsynlig på NMO". Neuromyelitis optica is a central nervous system similar to multiple sclerosis in its symptoms -- see http://my.clevelandclinic.org/disorders/neuromyelitis_optica_nmo/ns_overview.aspx. The questionnaire concerns a drug for MS. Thanks!
