Norwegian to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Other / waste management systems | | Norwegian term or phrase: knekte plater | This is part of a description of trash containers. Then it says that the sidewalls and the corner profiles are available in "knekte plater". The profiles and the plates are then bolted together.
Any have any idea what these "knekte plater" are all about? It sounds to me like broken or cracked plates, but that would be a little odd.
Any suggestion would be appreciated. |

| | bended plates | Explanation: This relates to sheet metal work. 'Å knekke en plate' means to bend to the desired angle, typically with a brake (=plateknekker). See refs.

Coming to think of it, I am not so sure 'bended' is the best conjugation here. As long as you now know what 'knekte' is upposed to mean, you are probably in a better position than me to choose between bent and bended. |
